We believe that exceptional personalized service can be delivered responsibly; and to this end, we align ourselves with equally responsible partners, and endeavour to improve our practices and continually reduce our impact on our environment.
Greening of your stay
- When possible, we send information, confirmations and booking contracts electronically rather than on paper
- In-suite bin for recyclables
- Mother Earth bath amenities that are all natural, organic, vegan and free of parabens and sulfates; they also smell and feel fantastic (an Indigenous/Canadian company)
- Linen replacement options that decrease water and detergent use:
– Bath linens are replaced only when you specify
– When you stay multiple nights, bed linens are replaced when you specify - In-suite organic composting
- Energy efficient lighting, heating and cooling
- We serve water in coolers or pitchers where possible, in place of water bottles
- We use local and organic produce when possible
- Our green team welcomes new ways to improve our environmental responsibility, so please do not hesitate to give us your suggestions
Greening behind the scenes
- We use recycled paper with a higher recyclable content and less packaging
- We choose cleaning supplies that have low chemical impact
- All hazardous waste is properly collected, stored, transported and discarded
- We turn lights off when they’re not required
- Printers are monitored for high paper consumption
- We recycle all paper, newspapers and cardboard
- We re-purpose, donate or sell used linens, pillows, furniture, dishes, glassware and utensils
- Items that were once thrown away are now donated to charities
- Chemicals are dispensed into the whirlpool only as required for sanitation
- We use a paperless payroll system
- Partly used toilet rolls and amenities are used in staff areas
- Where possible, worn linens are re-purposed as cleaning rags
- We participate in local & national environment awareness events
- Continuous improvement through ongoing performance audits
- We periodically have independent energy audits conducted to identify improvements

We are awarded 4 Green Keys in the Green Key Eco-Rating Program, a graduated rating system designed to recognize hotels that are committed to improving their environmental and fiscal performance.
