Here are just a few of the many Halifax attractions you can enjoy: Relax on our rooftop patio Roam the Citadel Wander the Waterfront The Discovery Center Located on Barrington and Sackville Street, this hands on science center provides a fun exploration of science for all ages groups. The center houses over 80 interactive exhibits and allows experimentation and discovery. Fees - children ages 2-18 and seniors (60+), $4. plus HST, Adults $6. plus tax. Children under 2 are free. Peggy's Cove Located on Prospect Road, a 30 minute drive from downtown Halifax, Peggy's Cove is famous for its featured lighthouse and is one of the most photographed places in Canada. The lighthouse is Canada's only post office housed in a lighthouse, featuring its own stamp in the image of a lighthouse. Stay well away from the water's edge as dangerous waves are known to crash ashore without warning. Peggy's Cove features a restaurant, gift shops and accommodations. Pier 21, Canada’s Immigration Museum Between 1928 and 1971, 1.5 million immigrants and Canadian military service personnel passed through Pier 21. Today, one in five Canadians has a direct connection to the historic pier. Reopened as Canada’s immigration museum in 1999 and recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of Canada in 2007, Pier 21 shares and celebrates Canada’s unique stories of immigration and nation building. Stroll Along Spring Garden Discover the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic Neptune Theatre Public Gardens Brush Up on the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Just a few moments from the hotel is one of the most respected art galleries in the region. With a history dating to 1908, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia acts as a gateway for the visual arts in Atlantic Canada by bringing the art of the world to Nova Scotia and the art of Nova Scotia to the world. The Gallery realizes this mission with an over 13,000 piece collection and the many Nova Scotian, national and international exhibitions it brings in every year.
